Hurricane Laura

CR Fuels of Hattiesburg, MS springs into action and is on-site in the aftermath of hurricane Laura.

Hattiesburg, MS, August 29, 2020: Hurricane Laura was a deadly and destructive Category 4 hurricane that made landfall August 27th in Louisiana. The effects of Laura across Louisiana were devastating. Nearly 10 foot high storm surge was recorded in Cameron Parish. Numerous parishes had severe flooding and extreme damage to houses. Several roads had to be closed, and drivers were advised to use different routes. The storm caused the deaths of 33 people in the state alone. By August 29th CR Fuels had deployed the Emergency Fuel Management team to provide essential fuel and relief for first responders. Working with state and local law enforcement, we were able to set up multiple fueling stations across multiple parishes to most effectively provide fuel to first responders, law enforcement, and other essential disaster relief crews.
